Sunday January 26, 2020 basketball icon Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicoptor crash in Calabasas, California just before 10a.  Bryant was flying in his private helicoptor to a basketball game with his daughter, 13 year old Gianna. Bryant coaches the all girls basketball team.  He is survived by his wife and 3 daughters.  The other victims include:

Gianna Bryant, daughter of Kobe Bryant.

John Altobelli, former Uof H baseball coach and baseball coach of Orange Coast College.

Keri Altobelli, wife of John Altobelli.

Alyssa Altobelli, daughter of John and Keri. Alyssa also played on the team with Gianna. They are all survived by John and Keri's son and daughter.

Christina Mauser, a girl's basketball coach at Harbor Day School in Corona del Mar, California.  Mauser was also the assistant coach for the Mamba Academy girl's team alongside Kobe Bryant.  She is survived by her husband and three small kids.

Sarah Chester and daughter Payton Chester.  Payton was also a member of the team with Gianna and Alyssa.  Sarah leaves behind her husband and two sons.

Ara Zobayan, the pilot.

All the bodies were recovered Tuesday.

Until the investigation in completed the cause of the crash is still unknown.  Many say that the weather was foggy and the pilot had to call to get special permission to fly.  According to the NTSB, it has been confirmed that weather is one of several factors investigators are examining.  It may be up to a year before they have answers as to what really happened.

May God be with the families and friends of all the victims.
